Connect One was founded in 1996 with the goal of enabling devices to tap into the Internet's global infrastructure, long before most companies were aware of the possibility of using Internet protocols (IP) to connect devices. We developed extensive expertise in IP connectivity as a result of the knowledge gained from the challenges of establishing reliable and ubiquitous Internet connectivity for our first product, an Internet fax device. Based on this experience, in 1999 we introduced iChip™, the market's first updateable Internet Controller™ chip - an entirely innovative concept that is now widely imitated in the industry.
In addition to the Internet Controller, among our other industry firsts is the first high-level IP connectivity API (Application Programming Interface), the AT+i™ protocol. The Internet Controller and high-level IP API are rapidly becoming standards for connecting non-PC devices to the Internet.
With data security becoming an increasingly major concern, Connect One continues to lead the market by being the first company to offer a SSL3/TLS1.0 offload solution for low-cost devices. Our iChipSec™ Internet Controllers create a new standard for secure, drop-in IP connectivity solutions as they offload security, TCP/IP and a wide selection of upper layer Internet protocols from any host processor.

Foundation for Ongoing Success
Connect One is led by a cohesive team of seasoned technology managers with expertise spanning networking, Internet software, hardware development and data communications, who have been working together since the late 1990s. Connect One is privately owned, with venture capital backing. It is headquartered in Israel, where it operates an intensive R&D program, and has a US sales office in San Jose, CA and a sales office in Hong Kong.
