iC100 iConnectorLE™ is a low-cost version of Connect One’s iConnector™. It is a small adapter that enables installed devices to easily and cost-efficiently connect to the Internet via cellular modems and data-enabled cellular phones that use CDMA, CDMA2000 1xRTT, GPRS, GSM and TDMA networks. iConnectorLE provides “Instant Internet”™ connectivity for installed legacy devices by eliminating the need for any hardware modification to the host device.
The Internet engine inside iConnectorLE is Connect One’s firmware-based iChip™ CO110PC Internet Controller™, which stores the Internet protocol stack in updateable flash memory. Simply install iConnectorLE between your device and a cellular modem or data-enabled phone in order to Internet-enable your host device.
Connect One’s AT+i™ protocol eliminates the need for Internet programming and minimizes changes to the host application. The optionally available plug-and-play SerialNET™ mode of operation completely eliminates the need for changes to the host application, as it is a direct serial-to-Internet port server.
iConnectorLE plugs into the host device’s serial port via a female DB-9 connector or the evaluation extension board. It connects to the modem/phone via a male DB-9 connector. iConnectorLE is powered through pin 9 of the DB-9 connector to the host device, or via an external power source applied to the evaluation extension board.
