Connect One’s products support different modes of operations, each designed to address a specific design need.
The Wi-REACH is a personal 3G Mobile Hotspot, which allows the user to use their existing 3G USB stick in order to create a personal WiFi network, as shown below:

The Wi-REACH implements Connect One's Embedded IP Routing mode of operation using CO2128 iChip and an 802.11b/g WiFi chipset.
iChips's firmware supports several modes of operation:
-
LAN to WiFi Bridge - allowing transparent bridging of LAN over WiFi, using direct RMII connection to existing MAC hardware. This allows any CPU with MAC to be connected using WiFi
-
Serial to IP Bridge - allowing transparent bridging of Serial data over LAN, WiFi, Cellular or Dial Up with no changes to the existing device or application
-
PPP bridge – allowing existing (e.g. modem) designs currently using PPP to connect transparently over WiFi with no changes to application or drivers
-
Full Internet Controller mode – allowing simple MCU to perform complex Internet operations such as E-mail, FTP, SSL, embedded web server and others.
-
Embedded IP Routing - allowing a single chip based solution for routing data between LAN/WiFi and Dialup/Cellular.
Since different products have different hardware interfaces, not all products can support all modes of operation. The following table details which Connect One products are able to perform each function:
